Slumburb, Early MFA Work
Through examination of cultural identity, this series of work addresses generalizations and misrepresentations of the lower/working-class America. The use of the figure is not based on individual identity but the embodiment of this demographic. These reflections placed on form and landscape are founded on experience, community, and family lineage.
